About My WorkÂ
__________________________
I spent most of my early career working in the fields of affordable housing and community development.
Over the past 30+ years, I’ve worked in and consulted with affordable housing organizations, community development nonprofits, local governments, human services agencies, and houses of worship. I got my start managing a rent-subsidized apartment community—where I learned firsthand what affordable housing means to the people who need it most.
I loved being part of a solution that made a real difference in people’s lives.
Years later, I joined Enterprise Community Partners (then known as The Enterprise Foundation), a national nonprofit that invest in and advocate for the preservation and production of good homes people can afford."
Enterprise provided rich opportunities for professional growth. I began by managing more than $2 million in public and private grants and contracts. Later, I moved into a technical assistance and training role, working with nonprofits across the U.S.
Eventually, I transitioned to Enterprise’s Baltimore office, where I served as Interim Co-Director and later, Deputy Director & Director of Housing and Community Development. In that role, I led staff and programs while managing the office’s grantmaking and technical assistance efforts.
Then in 2006, I launched my organizational development consulting practice and continued helping mission-driven leaders make a difference in the world.
